Happy Weekend!

Once a week, I take a break from my perpetually stressful law job to peek into the Zara on 5th Avenue, and once a week I walk away having fallen madly in like with something. This week's something is this beyond gorgeous {gold laminated wedge}. My 5 foot frame is thankful for the extra few inches.

So in case you didn't have enough reasons to love Amanda Peet  (i.e., her quirky yet intelligent sensibility, she's married to David Benioff, one of the two writers of "Game of Thrones," and she can be in a {crappy movie with Ashton Kutcher} and still come off as cute and loveable), here's another reason - her delightfully colorful 1927 home in Los Angeles as recently featured in the June 2012 issue of {Vogue}.

I love my 200 square feet of West Village coziness, but all that space and greenery is making me a little jealous.

Talk about an Aussie invasion. Australian swimwear designer {Zimmermann} just opened their first New York store on Mercer Street AND got on the {e-commerce} bandwagon officially giving die-hard fans (i.e., me) two ways to shop for gloriously tailored swimwear and pretty summer frocks.

I now know where my next two to four paychecks are going.

The Perfect Summer Dress

Dearest Anthropologie,

I was skeptical that you could take some time away from the questionable patterned hippie dresses you have been churning out of late to create something so delightfully basic and pretty, but you did it! Yesterday,  my {Sunny Repose Dress} arrived and its perfect - light and swingy for summer barbecues but with such an amazingly flattering fit that you could easily dress it up for nighttime. So thanks, Anthro, for the momentary retreat back to the store I miss so much.
