How excited was I to return from lunch yesterday to find that my copy of Celerie Kemble's {
Black & White (and a bit in between)} had arrived! After graduating from Harvard and briefly working in the film production business, Celerie decided to follow in the footsteps of her mother, famed Palm Beach designer Mimi McMakin, and pursue interior design. The two now run an interior design business based out of both New York and Palm Beach,
{Kemble Interiors}.
Celerie's design philosophy - "in life as in design, it is not perfection you should be after. There's beauty in the faded and worn, the well loved, and the sentimental...After all, life has seams. Your home should be like a loosely woven fabric of desires, memories, practical, notions, and even compromises."

Love this decor! Will totally have to give this book a look!
Those bedrooms are exquisite! I would like to ask the blog owner a question:
How do I get adopted (as perhaps a neice or a cleaning lady) so I might be recipient of this sort of gift-giving?
I would, for the record, be willing to travel to India in order to complete necessary paperwork.
